I ran into the wind at 6am and enjoyed it once I turned around and put the wind at my back. I am not sure what the chill factor was here, but the temp was hovering right around -20. Close to a record for me...my coldest was -45 with chill back around 1990.

I had the pleasure of sitting in an 11,000 pound ice cube better known as a tractor at 4:30am this morning and I haven’t seen my wind chll meter since:).

I took one look at the temperature and the wind and put my flugelhorn away…

I would think a storm day would be the perfect day for the flugelhorn! Lots of time, no distractions, no interruptions. . .
Unless the flugelhorn shrinks in cold weather?

Metal objects are, of course, subject to the coefficient of linear expansion, but I try to keep my flugelhorn from getting too cold.

Good point. Good point.

One would think that the flugelhorn might have gone away of its own volition at that temperature.
