I read with interest, the letter to the editor, written by a seasonal resident of Savage Harbour. She appeals to Government to guarantee high speed Internet access to all residents of PEI.
While I understand her frustration, the fact that she and her visitors from exotic places are unable to access the Internet at a suitable speed is hardly an essential service deficiency. My suggestion is that our government concentrate on quality accessible medical care, an education system that actually educates our kids and a safe environment for residents to occupy.
If our seasonal residents find services not to their liking, perhaps they should just move along. I suspect we will get along just fine.

That last sentence really needs to be in the tourism campaign. Honesty, after all, is the best policy.

Hey! I live year round in beautiful downtown Wheatley River and would love to have access to high speed internet. And...don’t tell me to move along...them’s fighting words to someone who has to put up with dial up!

You clearly are anti-PEI, Jean.

Yikes..Mrs T..good to hear from you. You aren’t seasonal, and I did not hear you whine that you would just have to move along if the government did not bring high-speed internet to your area. I did not hear that your guests from exotic places might not visit if you did not have high speed internet.
Guess the whining tone that ‘gommit’ should fix her problem, she being from away and all.......
..and Al, shaddup - and no need to duck - it would be futile - I always shoot low.

I can’t move along because I have no place to go.
and actually our kids from “the big smoke” have a fit when they visit and often ask what happened to your two friends who own Route 2...can’t they look after you?
